Research Interests
- Preparation of nanostructured metal oxides/semiconductors in various macroscopic forms (powders, multi-layer thin films, porous monoliths/aerogels) by various chemical methods (sol-gel - with and without templates, precipitation, coprecipitation, thermal hydrolysis, impregnation, doping, dip-coating etc.) in combination with conventional thermal treatment or unconventional supercritical/pressurized hot fluid crystallization.
- Application of pressurized hot and supercritical fluids in nanostructured material design and waste valoraization.
- Textural and micro/structural characterization of solids by using physisorption of inert gases, high-pressure mercury porosimetry, helium pycnometry, X-ray diffraction, H2-TPR, NH3-TPD, Raman spectroscopy and thermogravimetry.
- Heterogeneous catalysis in gas phase - catalytic oxidation of chlorinated volatile organic compounds.
- Heterogeneous photocatalysis in gas and liquid phase.
- Adsorption on solids in gas and liquid phase.
- Conventional and microwave pyrolysis of biomass and polymer waste.
